Being Made Whole ...
By God's Design
There is a space in everyone's heart that can only be occupied by God and until he fills that space with His presence, we will remain empty. We go through our lives trying to fill that space with whatever this life has to offer. Searching, looking and still coming up short or unfulfilled. In my life as a young lady, it took a long time to realize that all the while I was looking for love in all the wrong places, God's presence was the love I was missing and longed for.
God wants to offer you His love to fill that empty space in your heart, however it is a decision that only you can make. This decision is so important for your life here on earth and it will make the difference when you die. So, my question for you today is, are you ready to allow God to fill that empty space in your heart? The wonderful thing about God is that it doesn't matter where you have been or what you have done, He still desires to occupy that space in your heart and life because of His love for you. In order to do this, you must:
First, admit you need a Savior ...
You need Him to rescue you. You must surrender your all to God (heart, mind, habits and desires). You must believe he can occupy that empty space. Then commit your life to Him and God will give you a new life to live.
The bible says, in Romans 3:23 -
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Sin simply means, "Action by which human's rebel against God; to miss His purpose for your life; to surrender to the power of evil rather than the power of God." Adam and Eve introduced mankind to sin. Because of their fall, we are all born in sin and shaped in iniquity.
The bible says, in Romans 6:23 -
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Second, you must realize God's love ...
The bible says, in John 3:16 -
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Even though it may be hard to believe, God loves you so much that He paid the ultimate price to set you free from the grips of satan. He gave His only Son- Jesus Christ.
Third, you must repent of your sins ...
The bible says, in Acts 3:19 -
"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out."
Repent/Repentance means, to turn from sin; to feel regret; to change one's mind.
Convert/Converted means to change into another form, to transform, to undergo a change.
Blot/Blotted means, to remove or to dry.
Fourth, you must confess ...
The bible says, in Romans 10:9-10 -
"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Confess means, to tell or make known; to acknowledge; to receive or to declare.
Fifth, you must become a new creation ...
The bible says, in II Corinthians 5:17 -
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new."
New means being other than the former, or the old; made to become fresh; different; not known before.
If you are ready and willing to allow God to fill that void in your life, pray today and trust God to change your life forever.
Prayer ...
Lord Jesus, I invite you into my heart and life today. I believe you shed your blood, died for my sins and you arose from the dead. I want you to be my Savior and my Lord. Forgive me of all my sins. I want a better life. I surrender everything I have to you today. Make me new and whole. Fill that space in my heart and soul that is meant for only you. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
